The recurring nightmare I had was: A small, solid black room with a purple elephant in the centre. That's it... I couldn't sleep for days, at the end I needed to get this sleeping aid medicine because I had became a full fledged insomniac. I'd wait on the landing all night curled in a ball waiting for my Mam to wake up. The worst part is, is that I was also terrified of the dark. So my Mam got this glow in the dark wall paper...and bed & pillow covers. And thus concludes the worst period of my childhood.
I kind of think anyone who would see that would be in a bad situation indeed. Really, though, this is an amazing piece. It's one of my favorites. The shadows really make it, as does the fact that it's in first person. This really is eerily incredible. Great job.
Oh wow, this is absolutely gnarly - it's like someone turned zombies up to ten. I'm normally not afraid of the living dead, but somehow, Balaskas, you made this monster worse. Wow... weather it's the lighting or the design of the Oilman, or the terrifying expression you put on his warped and broken face, I don't know, but something with this picture just works!
